The Suffolk Coast & Heaths Partnership exists to promote sensitive management of the Suffolk Coasts & Heaths area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). The Sandlings Forest falls within this area. The Partnership is made up of 26 organisations - the Forestry Commission being one of these organisations. |

The Suffolk Wildlife Trust manages a number of wild life reserves within Suffolk, and provides an education centre facility at Foxborrow Farm near Melton. Their flock of Black Hebridean and Speckled faced Beulah sheep can be found in the enclosed areas on Sutton Heath, Hollesley Common and Tunstall Forest where there are used to graze this unique heathland wild life habitat. |

The RSPB reserve at Minsmere near Dunwich provides an internationally recognised haven for bird life. The RSPB also jointly manage the Dingle Marshland reserve working in partnership with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. |

Natural England manages reserves on Westleton Heath adjacent to the Dunwich Forest. This area is a National Nature Reserve and site of special scientific interest (SSSI) |

The National Trust manages Dunwich Heath and Minsmere Beach and also the award-winning visitor attraction of Sutton Hoo. |

The Woodland Trust manages a number of the smaller woodlands in Suffolk and is campaigning to protect and enhance our ancient forests. |

Livewell promote a series of Health Walks throughout the year in and around the Sandlings area as part of the nationwide 'Walking the way to Health' initiative. The website provides details of the current walking programme in the Sandlings and throughout Suffolk. |

Suffolk Orienteering Club organise orienteering competitions on both Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests. The club is affiliated to the East Anglian Orienteering Association.
